Manage your pension to keep providing for your dependants if you die

It’s a good idea to check and update your details whenever your personal circumstances change. You can do this online by logging on to My Pension. You'll need your username and password unless you're on the HSBC network and then you can click here.

The Trustee and the Life Assurance Trustee will consider your wishes but, for tax reasons, aren’t bound by them.

Help for your family if you die

If you die as a deferred member (after leaving the HSBC but haven't retired), the total value of your DC pension pot (including the value of HSBC’s contributions) will be paid as a lump sum at the Trustee’s discretion. Even as a deferred member, it's important to make sure you keep your beneficiaries' details up to date. For more information about protection benefits please see the DC member guide 'Knowing your DC pot' in our information centre.

Take care of loved ones after you’re gone

You'll need your username and password to log in. Don’t know yours?

If you're on the HSBC network you can click here and you won't need your username and password.
