HSBC have been working in partnership with the Bank Workers Charity (BWC) and launched the HSBC Support Fund in 2021 to help those in times of need.
The Support Fund aims to offer financial support for HSBC pensioners, their partners and dependants, as well as current and former employees in the UK who have experienced some unforeseen event outside of their control which has resulted in a sudden drop in income or increased expenditure.
HSBC recognises that people’s needs are varied and an unexpected event has the potential to disrupt even the best laid plans, so there isn’t a definitive list of circumstances under which you can apply. Examples would include, but are not limited to, repairs to essential appliances which may have broken, mobility equipment, funds to help you escape an abusive relationship, or home adaptations if you or a family member who depends on you has a disability.

Applications are completely impartial and confidential. Bank Workers Charity will not share any personal information and HSBC won't know who has applied.
