Changes to the Lifetime Allowance from 06 April 2024
From 06 April 2024 there will be some changes to the lifetime allowance.

The HSBC Bank (UK) Pension Scheme (the “Scheme”), one of the largest corporate pension schemes in the UK, has today announced its commitment to incorporate private markets into its DC default investment strategies.
Your 2024 Pension Increase letter on the Equiniti online portal, Member Self Service (MSS)
Your annual pension increase letter will be issued by the end of December. If you have elected to receive electronic communications, the letter will be available to view on MSS.

Your pension is reviewed on an annual basis and we will write to you with details of any increase to be applied (in January) each December.
If you die, what happens to your DB pension savings will depend on your membership category. For further information on this please contact the Administrators. Even as a pensioner member, it’s important to make sure you keep your beneficiaries’ details up to date.
You can log on to MSS to adjust your beneficiaries’ details. You’ll need your username and password to log in. Don’t know yours?

Remember to update your personal details if you’re getting divorced or dissolving your civil partnership. You should also make sure your details are up to date on the Nominations page in MSS.
