Trustee Directors

Why be a trustee?

I became a Trustee Director back in 2009.  I’ve always been intrigued by pensions, but found them so complicated and tricky to get to grips with.  Investing over such long time periods, with so much regulatory uncertainty is a real challenge – especially for our DC members who have to make these decisions themselves, albeit within the scope of the options offered by the Pension Scheme

My priorities

I am the chair of the Communications and Engagement Committee.  This is a relatively new committee, which is looking into how we can make the world of pensions, (and more specifically the HSBC Pension Scheme) more accessible and understandable to our members, so they can make informed choices about their approach to saving for retirement.
