Trustee Chief Executive Officer
Elizabeth Renshaw-Ames is the Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Pension Trust (UK) Limited.
Accountable to the Trustee, she leads the Pension Scheme Executive who are responsible for
managing the Pension Scheme, which comprises £27 billion DB and £3.5 billion DC assets and
which has 200,000 members.
Before joining HSBC in January 2015, Elizabeth was a Senior Partner at Mercer Limited. As UK
Head of Client Management she was a member of the Mercer UK leadership Team, responsible
for client relationships of the UK firm. Elizabeth's consulting expertise was in governance
consulting and she held consulting leadership roles in the UK and globally.
Elizabeth is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and she
joined Mercer from PwC, where she was a Director in the pensions audit practice. She qualified
as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse and she has worked in San Diego and
Chicago with PW and PwC. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Manchester with a joint
honours degree in Politics and Modern History.
